An occasional moment of rudeness or being ignored may be a minor inconvenience or annoyance. But the more it happens, the more the impact adds up.
And what if the negative attitudes and behaviours you experienced were not recognised as being as much of a problem as they are?
New research has shown that the gap between disabled and non-disabled people’s perceptions of prejudice has trebled over the last two decades. Worryingly, 1 in 3 disabled people continue to experience negative attitudes across all areas of daily life.
There’s no single fix for this problem, and as part of our campaign for everyday equality for disabled people we’d like to hear about your experiences and what you would like to see change.
Will you support our campaign by telling us your experiences?
